St. George's PTA

We've changed the name from the 'Friends of St. George's' to St. George's PTA and we are re-energised!  If you are interested in becoming involved in the PTA's activities, please speak to Mrs Gill in school or catch Mr Corby, our caretaker (and parent!) before or after school.  We'd love to have you!

Year 5/6 Athletics

A team of athletes from year 5 & 6 competed in a Sportshall Athletics competition – we did very well in some quite tricky events!

Great Geordies!

Class 3 followed up their work on some ‘Great Geordies’ with a visit to The Lit & Phil and a walk around Grainger Town to admire the architecture.

Alnwick Castle

Class 2 finished their work on Castles with a visit to Alnwick Castle where they all had a broomstick flying lesson!

Football Team going from strength to strength!

Our football team recently competed in the Under 11s Newcastle Schools Cup - and they did us proud!

We start our 'Duffy League' matches this week... good luck!

Autumn Walk

Our Autumn Walk 'along the lines' was, as usual, a great success and was very well attended...maybe it was the thought of hot dogs and hot chocolate back at school!

St. George's on the BBC!

We were recently visited by the Look North cameras to see how we were getting ready for the London 2012 Olympics, and why as a school next year's Games are important to us.

We  appeared on the BBC website, on Look North and on the BBC Radio Newcastle Breakfast Show
